Assistant Professor
Multiscale Investigation of Deformation and Fracture, Experimental Solid Mechanics, Constitutive Modeling, Dynamic Materials Behavior. The current research activities include investigation of composition dependence of mechanical properties of silicon-based lithium-ion battery anodes; and multiscale characterization of deformation processes and failure mechanisms in polycrystalline structural materials. There are two openings for Ph.D. students in the Solid Mechanics and Materials Lab. to start in Summer or Fall 2013. A candidate with backgrounds and interests in general areas of structural mechanics and materials are encouraged to apply. Please Email me at a.ghahremani@miami.edu for more information. |
